New York lawyer Robert C. Beers and Ashtanga Yoga practitioner Danicia Ambron sold their 2,000 sq. ft. co-op apartment at 600 West 111th Street for $1.695 million to voiceover specialist Wendell Craig and Nancy Good.
This Classic Six co-op sold for $100,000 less than the original $1.795 asking price when it was listed by Laurie Selashky of Wohlfarth & Associates. Monthly maintenance on the 2½ bath apartment is $2,140.
The in addition to 2 bedrooms and a maid’s room, the kitchen offers incredible light from the window facing West towards the Hudson River.
The maid’s room has a washer and dryer unit – an asset in an old co-op where Board restrictions can be prohibitive.
A few bonus touches: the building is pet friendly and has a common roof for use by all shareholders. If Craig and Good own a dog, they are just steps from Riverside Park and dog walks along the Hudson River.

Lara Gorton sold her incredible penthouse duplex co-op apartment at 310 Riverside Drive for $1.905 million, according to New York City records.
Given that she sold her co-op for $110,000 over the $1.795 million original list price, it appears that Gorton may have benefited from bidding wars for an apartment that commands stunning views of the Hudson River, Riverside Park, and the Upper West Side.
The buyers are Bernd Schmitt, a professor at Columbia University’s Business School, and Hisako Fujii. Schmitt directs the Business School’s Center on Global Brand Leadership. He focuses on customer experience management. and heads a consulting firm.
The duplex co-op penthouse has incredible views all around the apartment. You can have coffee in the kitchen over the Hudson at breakfast, and drinks on the upstairs terrace in the evening.
The co-op went into contract quickly last fall. According to SteetEasy, it was first listed on Sept. 24, 2009, and had an accepted offer less than a month later on Oct. 19, 2009.
The apartment comes with a washer and dryer on the upper level, a real plus considering the premium that the buyers paid for this cooperative.
The main floor with the apartment’s entrance has the kitchen and one bedroom. The kitchen is a cook’s dream, chock full of gorgeous, high-end appliances:

Just ask co-op shareholders who have ever owned a penthouse apartment. You are likely to find a few stories about roof leaks they may have been unlucky to face.

Guy Metcalfe, the co-head of Morgan Stanley’s real estate investment banking group, appears to be quite the flipper. He and wife Lisa Metcalfe just can’t stay put in one apartment for too long.
According to New York City records, the Metcalfes just paid $6.125 million — $130,000 over the $5.995 million asking price — for a 3,100 sq. ft. co-op apartment at 90 Riverside Drive on the Upper West Side.

Last May, the couple sold their 3,822 sq. ft. 15 Central Park West Condo for $11 million, less than a year after buying it for $9.35 million.
They moved into 15 CPW after selling their Park Royale co-op apartment at 23 West 73rd Street for $3.9 million in April 2008,
Corcoran Senior Vice President Maria Manuche had the exclusive, selling the co-op above ask in just three weeks.
The apartment has 8 rooms, 4 bedrooms and 3½ baths, and 3,100 sq. ft. of generous living space. The panoramic picture windows offer incredible views of the Hudson and Riverside Park. The apartment has an HVAC system and a washer and dryer.
Monthly maintenance in this pet friendly pre-war doorman co-op is $4,352. The co-op board requires at least 25% cash downpayment, allowing financing of up to 75%.
