180 E. 79th St. Co-op Sells for $2.35M, $450K Below Original Listing

A co-op apartment on the seventh floor of 180 East 79th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side just sold for $2.35 million, having been on the market since February of this year.

David R. Adler bought the Classic 6 cooperative in this pre-war building, paying $450,000 less than the original $2.8 million list price. Although the price was reduced in May to $2.6 million, the deal did not go into contract until late October.

The sellers were Kevin Cuskley, a Senior Portfolio Manager at HillMark Capital, and Stephanie Cuskley, CEO of Npower, and Executive Director of its New York affiliate.

Sotheby’s brokers Cheryl Daly and Pierrette Hogan had the exclusive.

The pre-war doorman building between Lexington and Third Avenues has its own gym for shareholders, a bike room, and storage bins for rent.

Monthly maintenance on the cooperative was listed at $3,165.

For this kind of money, however, you don’t get a washer and dryer in the apartment, only the use of the building’s common laundry room.
