956 Fifth Avenue Co-op Sells for $7.1M
Greg Feldman and Melanie Shorin just paid $7.1 million for the entire floor of a 10-room co-op apartment 956 Fifth Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
The 3 bedroom, 4 ½ bath apartment was originally 10 rooms, but was modified into 7 rooms. The monthly maintenance is $6,816.
This 15-story doorman cooperative was originally priced at $8.8 million when it was first listed in May 2009.
Olga Neulist of Sotheby’s Realty and Kathryn Steinberg of Prudential Elliman were co-exclusive agents for the listing. The apartment was on the market for six months before it went into contract.
The 84-year-old building is in a magnificent location at the corner of East 76th Street.
The living room and dining room have views of Fifth Avenue and Central Park. The bedrooms overlook East 76th Street.
The apartment has an un-environmentally friendly wood-burning fireplace and central air conditioning. Given the price of the apartment, it’s no surprise that it comes with a washer and dryer and its own exercise room.
The seller was Adriana Mnuchin. She and her husband Robert Mnuchin paid $20 million in 2008 for a co-op at 944 Fifth Avenue. The Mnuchin’s also had a 1 bedroom, 1 ½ bath maisonette that they sold for $650,000 last November.
Other neighbors in the building include Michael F. Myers, Adam Solomon and Vicki Rosen-Solomon, Michael Andrew-Shure, Stephen M. Ross, and Laura Winchester.
