Buyers James Tighe and Barbara Rentler paid $4.318 million for Talarico and Filardi’s 8 room, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom Greenwich Village apartment, 21.5% less than the $5.495 million list price when the co-op first went on the market in February.
The pre-war cooperative has a doorman, elevator, and gym. The high-floor duplex has an extremely rare feature, albeit not an environmentally one, feature: a working wood-burning fireplace.
Talarico is Managing Director of Sun Capital Partners with decades of LBO and investment banking experience. Filardi is Senior Counsel for the Global Sponsor Finance division of General Electric. Talarico and Filardi paid $10 million for their enormous duplex co-op apartment (actually, two units) in November 2008.
