$147K Makeover Helps Sell Co-op Apartment For $1.15M at 7 East 14th St.
A 2 bedroom, 2 bath co-op apartment near Union Square just sold for $1,150,000. The apartment went into contract just five weeks after was listed for $1,275,000 in July
The buyers are Nicholas H. De Baun, an employment lawyer at Sidley Austin in Manhattan, and Peter Noah.
The sellers were Philadelphia-base private investor Rik Morris and his partner Jim Kelleher.
The 1,200 sq. ft. co-op also has several ‘bonus’ features that were created during the complete remodel of the unit after Morris’ aunt, the prior owner, passed away. These features include creating a sleek A/V cabinet to hide your electronic gadgets, turning a hall closet into a mini home office work area, and adding fancy schmancy stainless steel kitchen appliances. The sellers wisely spent $147,000 renovating the unit from its prior drab state into a stunning, sensible and stylish unit that sold quickly.
Halstead agent Renée Fishman had the exclusive. Fishman’s marketing strategy included posting a YouTube of herself giving a video tour of the apartment.
