Kim Fennebresque Buys 31 East 79th St. Co-op in Estate Sale
Financial wiz Kim Fennebresque just paid $2.9 million for a 7-room co-op apartment at 31 East 79th Street located at the corner of Madison Avenue.
Fennebresque is a member of the Board of GMAC Financial Services, General Motor’s financial lending arm, and a senior advisor at the Cowen Group where he was formerly the Chairman and CEO.
The 7-room apartment was listed with a monthly maintenance of $5,075.Brucie Boalt and Serena Boardman at Sotheby International Realty had the exclusive.
Fennebresque negotiated a good deal: the closing price was $850,000 off of the original $3,750,000 listing when it went on the market Thanksgiving week in 2008.
The large 2 bedroom co-op has a rare, and coveted feature sought after buy apartment buyers: a fireplace. The catch it’s not environmentally friendly.
The sun-filled apartment has eastern, southern, and western views overlooking the Iraqi Mission to the United Nations.
This was an estate sale of the late Edythe Acquavella, mother of William Acquavella, owner of the family’s Acquavella Galleries across the street at 18 East 79th Street.
