Judge Abraham Gerges

Abraham Gerges is a New York State Judge based in Brooklyn (Kings County). He is a former New York City councilman and lawyer who graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1964.


According to the New York Post, Gerges once stepped down from behind the bench to allegedly tell a defendant in a criminal trial that “there is a person upstairs who watches over us. Sometimes we’ve got to have faith.”
