This pet-friendly 19-story co-op was built in 1930, but did not convert to a cooperative until 22 years later in 1952.

Andrew TischAndrew Tish is part of the Tisch family’s insurance, energy,, tobacco and hotel empire. He is Co-Chairman of the Board, Chairman of the Executive Committee, and a Member of the Office of the President for the Loews Corporation.

The co-op was part of an estate sale of the late Rita Hillman, an art collector who used proceeds from sales of 19th- and 20th-century European art to fund nursing scholarships and education at Lenox Hill, NYU, and Beth Israel Hospitals. Her late husband Alex Hillman made his fortune publishing comic books and true crime magazines starting in the 1930s.

A triplex apartment in the building that occupies the 17th through 19th floors is currently in contract, according to Stribling & Associates. That enormous 14-room apartment was listed for $29.5 million, with monthly maintenance charges of $12,655.07. It has 4 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, and — this is the real kicker — it’s own internal elevator inside the apartment!

Other neighbors in the co-op include the corporate P.R. genius and philanthropist Gershon Kekst of Kekst and Company, and his wife Carol.

Employment lawyer Jonathan Sack and his wife Caroline Sack paid $12.5 million for their duplex apartment in the building in August 2005, according to public records.
