$3.1M Park Ave. Coop Bought By Bling-Bling Biz Couple Tory Kiam and Elena Kiam

Tory Kiam, Elena Hahn Kiam, and her mother Ethelee Hahn just paid $3.1 million for a co-op apartment at 1160 Park Avenue at East 92nd Street.

This 14-story cooperative is prime real estate in the heart of Upper East Side. It’s just one block from the 92nd Street Y, seven blocks from Mount Sinai Hospital and School of Medicine, and just steps away from Madison Avenue boutiques and Central Park.

Tory is the son of the late Victor Kiam (inset, right), the legendary Remington shaver company and former New England Patriots owner.

Elena Kiam and her husband operate Lia Sophia, a fashion jewelry company named after two of their children that takes an Avon-like approach to marketing and selling jewelry. Using Hostesses and Advisors to “Share the Love of Jewelry”^® with customers.

We’re not talking about plastic-priced baubles here: these are jewelry pieces that sell for a lot more than Avon could ever dream its products would fetch.

Elena and Tory also market higher-end bling to celebs like Paris Hilton in events like beach house parties.

This co-op was sold by the Estate of Josephine Magliocco. Her husband, the late Antonio Magliocco Sr., was a successful businessman who founded Peerless Imports, a wine and liquor wholesaler, in 1943.

In 2006 Forbes ranked Peerless No. 298 on the list of America’s largest privately held companies, with over $1.2 billion in revenues for 2005. One year later, the company merged by entering into a joint venture agreement with another liquor wholesaler, Charmer Industries to create Empire Merchants, a subsidiary of the Charmer Sunbelt Group.
